groundwater is often dry, dry on the branches
ground water is often wet, angry that blood
stuffy inside toward the root
absorb waste from greedy common sense
poured shower on concentrated liquid
processed particles crime
compounds lot of people forgot about
wisdom of the creation of the universe
while holding the book of books
said guidelines to live by
then kill the difference
ultimate curse of humanity

Midwinter
By Tomas Tranströmer
A blue light
radiates from my clothing.
Midwinter.
Clattering tambourines of ice.
I close my eyes.
There is a silent world
there is a crack
where the dead
are smuggled across the border.
